Laser Petroleum Geoscience Centre (LPGC) is a Government accredited ( by the National Board of Technical Education - NBTE) and licensed Vocational Training Centre that is designed to bridge the gap between the University class room learning and the oil and gas industry required skills. Our courses are for workers and graduates of Geosciences, Engineering and related disciplines who are interested in using engineering, geology, petrophysics and / or geophysics to explore for and develop oil and gas fields; and, for those aspiring for a profession in the Oil and Gas Industry.

 
Our trainees receive a thorough grounding in the principles of exploration and oil and gas field development, whilst being exposed to the practical aspects of the oil and gas industry gained by our staff and consultants through years of experience around the world. On completion, candidates of the 12-months programme are awarded a Diploma. Our aim is to produce professionals with excellent competence, technical expertise and experience, multi-disciplinary and team skill, for optimum productivity to enhance Nigeria's global competitiveness in the oil and gas industry.

Laser Petroleum Geoscience Centre (LPGC) is a world class NBTE accredited school with state-of-the-art facilities. We train graduates for 7 -12 months in theoretical concepts and practical sessions on Oil and Gas industry relevant softwares like: Petrel, Eclipse, Prosper, Mbal, Geographix, perform, Hds, Sapphir etc. with three months internship in the industry.

WHO TO ATTEND?
Our training programme is designed for graduates who have HND, B.Sc and B.Eng in the following disciplines; Sciences, Engineering, Geosciences and Related Subjects.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE;
• Petroleum Geosciences Training Programme (12 Months) - N850,000
• PVT Laboratory Training Programme (9 Months ) - N1.2M
• Production Engineering Training Programme (9 Months) -N850,000  
• Environmental Impact Assessment Training Programme (7 Months) - N850,000  
• Drilling and Subsurface Training Programme (10 Months) - N1.5M

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Interested applicants can obtain their application form for N10, 000 only.

Note  
  • Training fees are payable in #3 installments  and should have been completed by the end of Module 2.
  • Training fee is exclusive of  Lunch and accommodation and covers Tea         Break and Course materials.
  • Kindly note that we have an accommodation facility in Port Harcourt for   N120,000 per student sharing for the duration of the programme and         N30,000 bus  conveyance to the venue and back during training days  ONLY (Optional)
  • Virtual Classes are now available for participants who cannot be physically present (Virtual Training Cost Applies)

We have a state-of- the art Library and conducive halls for learning. Our Facilitators are well experienced and grounded in knowledge to give you the best experience.

Our Training centre is equiped with 3 training halls with a seating capacity of 50- 100.

IT Centre for internet for students (If Applicable to courses), Laboratory for Lab Module Training, Eating Area during Tea Break and Lunch.

With a well equiped facility for training, students would have the comfort they need to learn and experience sound educational trainining.

LABORATORY MODULE AND FIELD TRIPS

As part of their training programme in Module 2, all participants are expected to undergo Field trips  This is expected to hold before the end of their training programme.

Module 4 is for Laboratory Module which is divided into three;
  • Pressure-Volume-Temperature (PVT) Laboratory Hands-on-Training
  • Core Flooding Laboratory hands-on-Training
  • Environmental Laboratory hands-on-Training

OUR LIBRARY

Library : We have a State-of-Art Library with over a 100 books for students reading pleasure. Our Library is both Online and Physical.
Comfortable: With well equip books, journals, publications, and text books for a comforable reading experience.
Seating capacity: 20+

All training students are given access to the library for their reading pleasure.
